The company has Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), used to treat effluents from paint cabins and glue conveyors. That is, the effluents, after treated, return to the process reducing the environmental impacts and also reducing the need to capture natural resources.
Solid waste management
Education and awareness campaigns for waste separation according to their characterization;
• Separation and sale of recyclables; (common, disposable papers, metals and plastics);
• Bins with identification for different types of materials, strategically distributed by industrial plants;
• use leftovers of blades, chippings, wood and sawdust as boiler fuel;
• Separation and disposal of industrial waste classes I and II for industrial landfills accredited and licensed by environmental agencies.
Other actions in the environmental area
• Rudnick also has a reforestation area of 575,000 Pinus trees in an area of 4,400,000 m².
• The main raw materials used in the company are MDF and MDP, whose main input in its manufacture comes from renewable Pinus and eucalyptus forests;
• The paint cabins are equipped with water curtains to minimize pollution. It is also widely used painting materials that has water as solvent. The hoods are equipped with sleeve filters and the boilers with multicyclone filters to prevent the emission of particulate and soot elements.
